What is Recharge?

 

Recharge is an organization with a mission to encourage and empower educators to continue the job they were called to do. The purpose of education is to teach and inspire young people to reach their potential through academic instruction, social interaction and guidance, and leadership modeling and training. Due to the climate in education, educators are feeling less and less able to do their job. This is creating frustration, stress, and overall dissatisfaction that impacts teacher effectiveness. This stress is like a haze that stifles creativity, squelches enthusiasm, and stagnates interpersonal relationships between the teacher and their students, parents, administration, and coworkers.

 

The Recharge events are designed to 1) show educators that they are a very valued and appreciated part of their community. 2) acknowledge the tremendous challenges of teaching, and 3) create awareness that will lead to positive changes in education.

 

The power of Faith is at the heart of Recharge. Our mission is to empower educators of all beliefs with the reminder that they are not alone in their challenges, but are a part of a community that supports them.  With Isaiah 40:31 as our guiding philosophy, we seek to encourage educators to lift each other up, and to run and not grow weary.
